3 ways to apply for SONCAP certificates
Mode A: for unregistered or unauthorized products
Each shipment of products must be approved by the inspection, testing, monitoring equipment and sealing, finally issued CoC certificate. The certificate only needs to pay attention, to apply for the shipment of goods in batches.
Step 1: the applicant submits the test report (Test, Report, TR)
Applicant needs:
Submit a complete application form and attach the relevant documents;
Submit an effective test report issued by a laboratory certified by the ISO 17025 system;
Cause no test report
Arrange an eyewitness test and submit a test report from a qualified manufacturer's laboratory;
Inspectors have on-site sampling to send qualified laboratory tests (test fees are extra);
Step 2: application for final registration status, product certificate (Product Certificate 1, [Unregistered Status], PC1)
1) the audit submitted by the applicant without registration certificate of product (PC1), FORM and M on the shipment of goods packing list, invoice and other documents (see application form)
2) a fee note is issued to the applicant;
3) arrange the pre shipment inspection according to the time and place of the applicant's appointment;
4) quasi conformity certificate (CoC);
Be careful:
Not registered certificate status (PC1) of products shipped are effective and valid for batches for 6 months

Mode B: for registered products
Product registration is through product type testing and evaluation of the manufacturer's quality management system to ensure that products meet the relevant standards and manufacturers have the ability to continuously produce products of the same quality level
Step 1: the applicant submits the test report (Test, Reprot, TR)
Applicant needs:
Complete the application form and attach the relevant documents;
Submit an effective test report issued by a laboratory certified by the ISO17025 system;
If there is no relevant test report
A) arrange an eyewitness test and report the test to the qualified manufacturer's laboratory;
(b) sampling by the surveyor on site to send qualified laboratory tests (the cost of the test is extra);
Step 2: applicants for registration status, product certificate (Product Certificate 2, [Registered, Status], PC2)
The state of registration certificate of product audit submitted by the applicant (PC2), FORM and M on the shipment of goods packing list, invoice and other documents (see application form);
Send a fee note to the applicant;
Arrange the pre shipment inspection according to the time and place of the applicant's appointment;
Certificate of conformity (CoC);
Be careful:
The registration status product certificate (PC2) is valid for 1 years;
For registered products, there will be at least 40% batches of shipment will be sampling test and field of each quarter;
In this process, if the tests and / or tests are not in conformity, the NCR (Non Conformity Report) will be issued
Mode C: for licensed products
The product license includes a detailed assessment of the test, based on products, factory audit and periodic inspection. If the products comply with the relevant standards of Nigeria or its recognized equivalent standard, will be granted a license product license. It applies only to the product manufacturer and non exporters / suppliers.

1) the audit submitted by the applicant state license product certificate (PC3), FORM and M on the shipment of goods packing list, invoice and other documents (see application form);
2) send a fee note to the applicant;
3) arrange the pre shipment inspection according to the time and place of the applicant's appointment;
4) quasi conformity certificate (CoC);

The license status product certificate (PC3) is valid for 1 years;
For the licensed products, there will be at least 1 batches of pre shipment inspection every 6 months;
